The “Lego” Mindset

The biggest thing stopping people from making money with websites is a simple misunderstanding. They think they need to be a computer genius who types lines of confusing code all day. That used to be true. Today, it is completely wrong.

You do not need to be a coder (the person who invents the technology). You just need to be an assembler (the person who puts the pre-made technology together). Think of it like building a house out of Lego blocks. You don’t need to know how to melt plastic and mold the blocks in a factory. You just need to know how to snap the pieces together so it looks like a beautiful house.

The Shift: Stop Selling Tech, Start Selling Solutions

When you talk to a local business owner—like a plumber, a landscaper, or a bakery owner—they don’t care about code. They don’t even care about WordPress. They only care about two things: making more money and saving time.

If you try to sell a website using tech words, you will lose them. Instead, you need to talk about their business:

• Don’t say: “I will build a responsive 3-page WordPress website.”
• Do say: “I will make a site that looks beautiful on cell phones, so when people search for a plumber while driving, they can click one big button to call you instantly.”
• Don’t say: “I will install a contact form plugin.”
• Do say: “I will set up a page where clients can request a quote online, so you stop losing business to voicemail while you are busy working.”

Why You Are Worth Payouts of $500+

You might think, “If it’s just snapping pieces together, why would someone pay me $500 or $1,000 to do it?” Because business owners are busy running their actual businesses. A mechanic is busy fixing cars. A roofer is on top of a house. They don’t have 15 hours to sit down, figure out how to buy a domain, upload photos, and make text look straight on a computer screen. It stresses them out.
